Short biography

Michele Biasutti PhD is an Associate professor at the Faculty of Psychology, Padova University, where he conducts research in psychology of music and music education. He is interested in music improvisation, on-line music learning, creative collaborative processes in music. He is Scientific Director of research projects financed by Italian Institutions. He is a member of the editorial board of international journals and he has published articles in international peer-reviewed journals such as Hearing Research, Psychology of Music, Music Education Research, Computers and Education, Small Group Research, International Journal of Music Education, Journal of research in music education, Creativity research journal. He was the conference director of the international conferences Psychology and Music education (PME04) and Training Music Teachers (TMT07) and author of seven books. Currently he is President of the Italian Society for Music Education.
