Short biography

Gabriela Karin Konkol graduated from the Academy of Pedagogics, Bydgoszcz, PhD (2000); University of Gdansk, Political Sciences, MA (1995) and The Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdansk, MA (1992). Since 2000 she has been working at The Stanislaw Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdansk at the Faculty of Choral Conducting, Music Education and Rhythmics; Head of the School Practice Department; ECTS Departmental Co-ordinator. She holds awards including Long Service Silver Medal (2010); the honorable award/ Minister of Culture and National Heritage (2009); and Academy of Music in Gdansk Rector’s Award (2011, 2008). Lecturer at the Universities in: Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Israel, Italy, Russia, Sweden, Turkey and Poland. Member of Polish Carl Orff Society, Polish Demography Society; the EAS National Co-ordinator for Poland (since 2006) and the EAS board member (since 2009).
