Short biography

Konstantina Dogani is Senior Lecturer in Music Education at the School of Early Childhood Education, Department of Aesthetic Education, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece.  She has taught in undergraduate and postgraduate music education courses as well as in-service courses in Greece and in England.  She has also worked as a preschool teacher in public and private schools and as a music teacher with children from preschool to secondary school age.  She obtained her PhD in Music Education from the University of Exeter, School of Education, UK, her MA in Music Education from the University of Reading, UK and holds a degree in Preschool Education from the University of Athens, Department of Preschool Education.  She has performed as a piano soloist in Greece and abroad and has composed music for children and puppetry plays.  She participated in the Music Education Network (meNet)-Comenius-3 Network, funded by the European Commision’s Programme Socrates-Comenius [http://menet.mdw.ac.at].  Her research interests involve Music Education in Preschool age, Music teacher education, Musical creativity.
