Short biography

Rūta Girdzijauskienė - Assoc. Prof. and the Head of Choir mastery and Music Pedagogy Department of Klaipeda university, the president of Lithuanian Music Teachers' Association, the member of coordination board of Lithuanian Music Education, the expert of Lithuanian Ministry of Education and Science publication commission, the chair of editorial commission at Klaipeda University the Department of Arts.  
In 1987 graduated from Music pedagogy study programme (Klaipeda university), acquiring professional qualification of music teacher-choir conductor. Since 1987 employed in Klaipeda university. At the same time work as music teacher in Vydunas secondary school with primary school children.
Publication: 1 scientific monographic, 20 articles in Academic Journals, textbooks of music and teacher’s book for secondary school (primary grades), 4 methodical books about music teaching methodology, over 20 methodical and informational publications in magazines and journals.
Representative of Over 20 reports in International academic conferences; participant in 3 International academic projects..  
Over 10 hosted seminars for music teachers in Lithuania every year, 10 international courses organised for music teachers in Klaipeda University, occasionally given public music lectures for Lithuanian and foreign music teachers.
Scientific interest – development of creativity through musical activity.
